PassPoli is Canadian politics from the middle. The news feed is an automated firehose: headlines pulled in from outlets across the country, not curated, not endorsed, and we may not agree with a word of it.

The blog is one post a day, fact-based, with very little opinion. The questions I keep coming back to: what is actually happening, and is it fair to the electorate?

When I do share an opinion, it sides with people over corporations. A corporation has a legal obligation to put itself first, above its employees and its customers. That is structure, not villainy. And the jobs corporations provide enrich real people and whole communities, which deserves respect. Both things are true. That is the nuanced take.

I don't think the devil needs an advocate. But people who have a hard time advocating for themselves should be able to rely on those of us with a stronger voice to stand up for what is right.

I'm s4rah. I'm doing this partly for my son, who cannot effectively advocate for himself, and partly because I genuinely love this stuff. If it were only personal interest, I wouldn't bother publishing. But I love my son, and I have real concerns about the political landscape for disabled people and everyone left on the fringe of the main parties. Most centrist people aren't politically aligned with anyone. This is for us.
